Helping people with pain more accurately treat the individual needs specific to their experience, while addressing the widening gaps in expected care.

Client:

Fern Health was a tele-health company focused on treating the symptoms and triggers of the pain experience in a sustainable and opioid-free way.

Challenge:

During the initial stages of Fern launching it had a one-size-fits all approach to the “care plans” delivered to its “members”. This did not reflect the realities clinical treatment and limited Fern’s ability to provide comprehensive and accurate quality care, thus creating a barrier to getting people better. Additionally, while the plans were designed with a multi-modal approach (physical, mental and behavioral intervention) we uncovered most people were only focusing on the physical pathway to reducing pain. The gaps in Fern’s care were large.

The “Digital Therapy” team

Our product team focused how care plans were presented and delivered to our “members”
